Fact #762: The “quartz movement” used in watches and clocks is so named because there is a tiny tuning fork made from quartz inside, which oscillates at a very precise frequency to keep time.
Quartz timepieces are more precise than automatic timepieces, which are spring-powered, but are far less intricate and detailed than automatic timepieces.

Fact #757: It costs phone carriers less to provide 4G data than 3G data.
Essentially, 4G spectrum is more efficient at delivering data, so to download the same YouTube video, or what have you, it takes half the effort compared to 3G for the wireless provider. That makes it cheaper.
